Cowboys facing another Finals miss, and what this means for NRL Markets
Wed 20th January 2021

NRL Markets:

To Make Top 4: North Queensland Cowboys $6.50
To Make Top 8: North Queensland Cowboys $2.45

Under the guidance of a new coach, the NQ outfit are hoping their fortune could be about to change, and as with it, will the NRL Markets.

Recruitment: This side has finished well out of the finals, for three consecutive years. And for a team so lost in the bottom, the Cowboys have recruited surprisingly non-aggressively. So much so, that former Warrior, Lachlan Burr, is the only established new face.

Strengths: Michael Morgan, Valentine Holmes and Jason Taumalolo will boost the side’s strength tremendously. As well as this, the trio are three of the best game-breakers in the NRL. Holmes is only on the upswing, especially in his second year back from the NFL.

Weaknesses: Offensive play has been a weakness for the Cowboys in the past, and it’s rearing it’s ugly head again. Tis is especially astonishing considering the three names aforementioned. The side had one of the most dismal offloading rates in the game, which ultimately resulted in minute second-phase play. It’s looking likely new coach Todd Payten will alter this.

Man Under Pressure: Esan Marsters made a shift from the Tigers to the Cowboys in 2020, but didn’t really fit the mould. The former Eastern boy even got axed at one point during the season. The bloke now needs to lift to allow the Cowboys more strike power, especially out wide.

One To Watch: If 19-year-old Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow is an absolute gun at such a young age, imagine how much potential is still left to develop! With six tries from 14 games last year, the numbers are soon expected to double – and may even this year.

What this means for NRL Markets: Odds obviously fluctuate throughout the year, but expect big things from the North Queensland Cowboys. If you jump on these NRL Markets now:

To Make Top 4: North Queensland Cowboys $6.50
To Make Top 8: North Queensland Cowboys $2.45

You’re likely going to get better odds than season start.

The NRL Markets To Make Top 8 are more likely to get you a win, especially in regards to the North Queensland Cowboys.

What’s good about these NRL Markets, however, is the fact that you can multi them on Sportsbet to create even higher odds.

If you want some clear-cut value, head over to the Top 8 Finish and put the following Multi in:

NRL Markets: Top 8 Finish Multi @ $7.05

Penrith Panthers
Sydney Roosters
Melbourne Storm
South Sydney Rabbitohs
Canberra Raiders
